FullProxy Team Shines with Multiple F5 Certifications.

The FullProxy team is thrilled to announce exceptional achievements in F5 certifications! Our dedicated professionals have demonstrated their expertise in application delivery and security by passing a total of five rigorous exams.

John Myers, our talented consultant, has earned the Technology Specialist, BIG-IP DNS Certification by passing the F5-302 DNS exam with flying colours. This accomplishment highlights John’s deep understanding of application delivery architecture, DNS protocol operation, configuration deployment, and troubleshooting. His expertise will be invaluable in supporting clients with global DNS deployments.

We are also proud to congratulate Donald Ross, our Senior Consultant, and Chris Templeton, our Director and CTO, on achieving the Certified F5 Solution Expert status by passing the F5-401 Security Solution Expert exam. Their comprehensive knowledge of business security requirements and ability to articulate technical solutions is a testament to their dedication to excellence. Donald has further enhanced his qualifications by recertifying in cloud solutions with the F5-402 exam.

Lastly, we commend Stephen Mellon, our consultant, for passing the F5-301a LTM exam. He has showcased his mastery in architecting, setting up, and deploying Local Traffic Managers. His in-depth understanding of SSL-based VPN implementation, acceleration techniques, and BIG-IP integration solidifies his position as a valuable asset to our team.

Certificate management is a critical part of an organisation’s cyber security that cannot be ignored. Certificates are vital for protecting data transmitted between websites and users. If not properly managed, data could be at significant risk. One certificate option that organisations often consider is wildcard certificates, which provide some benefits but also carry security risks.
Google's announcement to reduce the lifespan of Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates from 398 days to 90 days continues to be a hot topic of discussion among information security professionals, especially those directly involved in replacing and updating certificates. It’s especially frustrating because – although mooted back in April of 2023 – there’s still no confirmed date for its implementation. Yet Chrome browsers account for just over 50% of all UK web traffic (Statista), so there’s no avoiding the impact that this will have.
Meet Donald, our experienced Technical Manager. In this blog post, he takes us through a quick demonstration of F5's Distributed Cloud, showcasing how effortlessly you can ensure maximum uptime and protection for your web applications.
